Riding the pony may not be part of government, but riding the white pony seems to be. All jokes aside, I have no problem with what Scott does when we're at conventions. I just don't want to be in the same room as him when he's doing it.

So, now we've got sex and drugs, all we need is rock and roll and we'll have something truly worthy of mass bannage. Back on topic please.

No, this is halfway appropriate/on topic. It seems that most people are under the impression that that is what student government is about. People think that student government is the happy fun club, and if something relevent gets done, it's just a coincidence. And it's not just Quaboag. It seems to me that there is a total lack of leadership and commitment when it comes to student government, no matter where you are. Most everybody is in this to benefit themselves. If you don't agree with me on this, then you're part of the problem. I'm not trying to prove that Student Council is the best. I'm trying to encourage all the other forms of student government to keep getting better. I recognize that there are really good leaders in this school, and that there are really good leaders no matter what branch of student government you look at. But it's the job of those leaders to try and get everybody else to pull their weight. So this is a challenge to everybody. Prove that your group is the best. Not with words, but with actions.

While I do agree in part, this is, as Mr. Gould would say, stating that "You're either with us or against us".
Far too many student representatives are in their offices solely to boost their resumés and college applications. I wholeheartedly agree with you on this point. Just don't forget the following two things:
1. Student council isn't exempt from the problem. 2. This is going to happen no matter where and when you are, no matter what organization you are dealing with.
That's not to say we shouldn't work to fix the problem, just that your challenge may need a little incentive before many people accept it.

Exactly. That's why I've advised my most awesome plan ever in the history of the world, and the future.
